QA Workflow

  • Locate tickets in the project board QA Needed column. Review ticket summary and comments. This should include a comment outlining QA requirements.

  • These requirements should be tested on the OD2 development/staging site: https://staging.oregondigital.org/

  • If there are multiple requirements, fill checkboxes for each item that passes QA (assuming there are checkboxes).

  • If QA passes, add a new comment stating “QA pass” and any notes/comments you would like to include (optional). If the ticket hasn’t already been closed, you can close it with your comments. Then move the ticket to the Done column on the project board.

  • If any part of QA fails, add a new comment stating “QA fail” and include notes/comments describing why QA failed. Reopen the ticket, if it’s closed. Then move the ticket back to the Ready column on the project board.

  • If you have questions at any point in the process (before or during testing or after QA is complete, you can reach out to the developer who wrote the QA requirements through slack, or tag them in a comment within the ticket).

  • If you noticed other issues/bugs on the development site that are not specific to the QA requirements, create a new ticket and add it to the project board Backlog column.
