Request additional access

Robin Dunlop edited this page Sep 21, 2013 · 1 revision

This feature allows one user to request Read-Only access to another user's Registration. It also allows users to pay for expense items of other users.

This can be useful when Coaches or other Group leaders want to pay for certain details of their members' convention. This can also be useful to ensure that all members of a group sign up for their necessary Events.

To access this feature, a user should log in, go to the "Help" page, choose "Registrant Access Request", and follow the directions.

For Example:

  1. John Smith creates a user account, and registers:
  2. Non-Competitor - John Smith
  3. Competitor - Jane Smith
  4. Billy The Coach creates a user account, and registers:
  5. Non-Competitor - Bill the Coach

Billy The Coach may use the "Request Additional Access" feature in order to ask for permission to see "Jane Smith"'s Registration Information. Not only will he have access to view the details of the events chosen, but he will also be able to pay for the registration fee and/or other expense items.

When a Request is made, and e-mail will be sent to the requested user, and they will have to Grant or Deny the request. If the request is granted, an e-mail will be sent back to the Requester.

In our example above, when Billy The Coach requested access to Jane Smith's Registration, John Smith (the User) received an e-mail. When John Smith Granted the request, Billy The Coach received an e-mail informing him of his new permissions.

Once permission is granted, the Registration will appear on their main page,
