Upload Images

To let users upload images on wheelmap.org we use the mounter from Carrierwave and a worker that will do automatic processes in the background. At the moment the file size to upload images is limited to 10 MB per upload (http-request).

Accepted formats for images uploads:

• jpg
• jpeg
• gif
• png
• ' ' => e.g. photo instead of photo.jpg)

All uploaded images will be automatically:

• delivered as jpg

• reduced to 70% of the original quality

• resized to maximum

  • 180 x 180 pixel (gallery preview)
  • 600 x 600 pixel (gallery)

  iphone

  • 80 x 56 pixel (thumb iphone)
  • 160 x 112 pixel (thumb iphone retina)
  • 480 x 320 pixel (gallery iphone)
  • 960 x 640 pixel (gallery iphone retina)

  ipad

  • 1024 x 768 pixel (gallery ipad)
  • 2048 x 1536 pixel (gallery ipad retina)
