Decision Review Queue

The Decision Review Queues are used by users of the business line that establish Higher-Level Reviews, Supplemental Claims, Board Grant Effectuations and Rapid Appeals Modernization Program (RAMP) forms.

A user that in a member of a business line that have established a Decision Review Queue, can access it by going to the url /decision_reviews/{name of business line ex. vha}

The following business lines have established Decision Review Queues in Caseflow

  • Veteran Health Administration
  • National Cemetery Association
  • Loan Guaranty
  • Education Services
  • Insurance
  • Veterans Readiness and Employment/Vocational Rehabilitation

Once a decision review has been established, it is sent to the In progress tasks tab until a business line user completes and processes the claim.

To close out/complete a decision review, the business line user must select a disposition and date of decision. The disposition options include

  • Granted: Veteran's claim has been granted by the business line
  • Denied: Veteran's claim has been denied by the business line
  • DTA Error: Duty to Assist error in which Caseflow will generate a follow-up supplemental claim to resolve the error
  • Dismissed: Claim dismissed in a matter of law or death
  • Withdrawn: Claimant requested withdrawal of the claim

Completed Tasks tab: Once the Caseflow user selects a disposition, they can complete the case which will be routed to the Completed tasks tab. A downloadable Excel sheet is available to view all completed task
