Dev team report:

  • Daniel
  • Mannie
  • Colin

We worked on developing contribution guidelines (which I'll finish off shortly),

We also decided, in concert with Stephen and Chris, to go with rails instead of django. The reasoning behind that was that Colin and Daniel had some rails experience, that there were slightly more rails people who showed up, and there was already some rails project experience in the room due to district housing.

Next steps are to finish off the contribution guide, figure out whether we want to fork district housing or roll our own, and figure out what to do about the database backing (e.g. go with Salesforce, Hakiri, or something similar -- questions to think about are security, ease of visualization and reporting, and ease of integrating with Rails).

Colin's Todo:

  • build a better, coherent pitch
  • merge outstanding pull requests from Daniel and Mollie
  • finish off dev guidelines
