Scenario: You are looking up information about the Standard Deduction for your tax return.
Site: Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
- What section of the website are you in now?
- How would you get to the main page of this section?
- Can you show how you would get back to the "How Much Is My Standard Deduction?" page using the main navigation?
- What information is the collection of links above the page title (i.e., Home, Help, etc.) providing you?
Scenario: You are a lawful permanent resident in the U.S. and you're trying to understand the differences in Social Security Cards.
Site: Social Security Administration (SSA)
- What section of the website are you in now?
- How would you get to the main page of this section?
- Can you show how you would get back to the "Types of Social Security Cards" page using the main navigation?
- Can you think of anything that would make the first two tasks (knowing what section you're in and going to that section) easier?
- What's your approach for handling breadcrumbs on smaller screens (e.g., mobile)? Can you share any examples?
