3.0 Goals

This outlines the goals of the 3.0 major release and 3.x series of releases.

Main Goals

These are the primary goals of the new major release and should always be in focus for the planned changes in the 3.0 roadmap.

• Modernize code base
• Reduce technical debt
• Reduce/eliminate maintenance cruft

Optional Goals

These are nice to have goals and could be side effects of the actions taken for achieving the main goals.

• Re-animate community contributions
• Motivate previous or new contributors to become maintainers
• Improve analysis speed
