About Onboarding Buddies

- An onboarding buddy is a volunteer team member who makes a commitment to support a new team member as they get acclimated with the team and project.
- An onboarding buddy’s role is to help the new team member achieve the onboarding priorities during the first two weeks of employment.
The onboarding buddy will help the new team member:
- Meet everyone on the team
- Locate relevant project documentation
- Review the project vision and subject matter
- Identify how their role can contribution to the project
