Noor is a teenager who was born deaf and with typical vision. She recently became legally blind too. Noor has some residual vision and can see small portions of a computer screen when it is significantly enlarged. She communicates using sign language and a portable electronic Braille device.
-As a high school senior, Noor is thinking about what she wants to do in the future. She is considering different colleges in the hopes of studying the history of fashion. She is trying to find out about how the college presents teaching material for students and is in contact with a few colleges to discuss captions and transcripts of audio-visual content. She is also keen to understand whether the college websites will work with her Braille display. She has had problems in the past being able to submit coursework because the form buttons weren't recognised by here device. Noor’s portable electronic Braille notetaker includes a calendar, e-mail, web browsing, and note-taking functionality which she wants to make sure can be integrated with the college systems.

Noor enjoys getting out and about with her friends and uses public transport a lot. She will plan out her route before heading out and then use her mobile device to track where she is and where she needs to be. The biggest problem she has with this is that the bus schedules don't respond well to being zoomed. When she enlarges the text it doesn't reflow or wrap properly. This means some of the text gets hidden and she has to scroll a lot around the page. Maps can be really hard as well but she does have an app that gives route instructions in text as well as displaying the route on a map.

deploy preview failed because of the dependency change in Nov-Dec 2022, so it should be fairly easy to fix. /me focusing on other stuff right now... |

Note that the videos do not yet work, including the link to the text transcript. The idea is that activating the video link (the image) would open a modal window to show a larger view of the video. The intention is to show how they could be integrated into the page.
Text description link still just for show

-Lexie discovered that shopping for clothes online is actually an advantage over going to physical stores. In addition to just showing pictures of items in the various colors offered, her favorite sites include color labels making coordinating what goes together much easier. Sometimes when checking out though, the required fields and error messages are notated with a red outline and Lexie has to pay special attention to identify them. She noticed lately, however, that a lot of sites are getting better about using a secondary notation like an asterisk for required fields and bold text or an arrow pointing to errors. This really helps a lot.

Lexie plays in various fantasy football leagues with her friends and former workmates. Sometimes there can be problems with the way these sites use color to differentiate between teams, player positions, and whether or not players are selected for her team. As a result, she tends to prefer certain Fantasy Football apps that don't use color as the only way to indicate information that is important to playing. This means she has to try and convince friends to play using the same app.
