Getting Started

1. Clone the repo
2. pre- requisite(MUST INSTALL) Install Node.js at https://nodejs.org/en/ download Metamask extension at https://metamask.io download and install Ganache at https://trufflesuite.com/ganache/

Running Ganache

1. open ganache and create a new workspace
2. Under TRUFFLE PROJECTS section within the WORKSPACE tab, add truffle-config.js located at ..\PASS_Research_Summer_2022\truffle in the cloned repo
3. Go to the SERVER tab and change port number to 8545
4. Click save workspace

Metamask setup

1. Once metamask is installed, create an account(this will be automatically prompted)
2. Make sure ganache client is running
3. Navigate to metamask extension, and click on Ethereum mainnet at the top
4. click add network, and add the following information Network name: any name New RPC URL: http://127.0.0.1:8545 Chain ID: 1337 Currency Symbol: ETH
5. click save.

Running the institution client(optional)

1. cd into /institution
2. in the /institution - type npm install
3. once everything is installed - type npm run devstart

Running the user client

1. cd into /truffle and type "npm install -g truffle"
2. then type "truffle migrate" (make sure ganache is running)
3. cd into /client folder
4. in the /client terminal - type npm install
5. Once everything is installed, type npm start
6. If a browser doesn't load, go to any browser and type in localhost:3000
