Vespucci v0.01.r217 (2015-01-26)

This is a very early release of the game and many features are still missing.

Just to give you an idea what is still missing:

• The GUI captions are currently only available in German, so it may be a horrible experience for anyone who does not understand German.
• Some graphics / textures are still missing, that includes various types of units, buildings and terrain.
• ... and those graphics that are present are rather simple.
• Computer players (both the Europeans and the natives) hardly do anything. So you are mostly on your own.
• Fighting and diplomacy are not implemented yet.
• There's more, but the list would probably be too long when every known issue gets mentioned.

With that out of the way, let's get started.

Binary files

For this release, only binaries for Windows are provided. However, the Windows binary also works on Linux and macOS with the help of the Wine compatibility layer.

• vespucci_v0.01.r217_win32.zip - contains game data and executable for use on Windows, just extract to a directory of your choice and then start vespucci.exe from that directory
