This library is included in the spring-boot-dependencies bom, which as of now is compatible with java 1.8, so it might be a good idea to keep java 8 compatibility a little longer so the spring folks can pick up the future cleanup mentioned in the |

So what do we think? Bump to 1.8 for the time being? |
