かつての高機能なデスクトップTwitterクライアントに搭載されていたような、ニッチだが強力なタイムラインカスタマイズを可能とする機能をモバイルプラットフォームに提供すること。
マルチアカウント・サービスで違う話題を閲覧、また反応する必要があるという運用を前提に置き、統合されたビューやコンテキストに合う自然な操作を提供すること。
Yukariは当初、ストリーミング購読特化のTwitterクライアントとして設計・開発されました。Mastodonのサポートは後付けの機能です。
複数のサービスに対応するための作業をしている過程で力尽きてしまったため、Twitterでサポートしていた多くの機能がMastodonでは使えない状態のままとなっています。
