fix methods signatures for rails less or equal to 6.2 #197

After merging #194 the method signature is broken for rails versions before 6.2.
Passing database keyword argument has been a valid thing from 6.0 until 6.2 and we should keep the behaviour

While we are here, it may be pertinent to address the missing shard: keyword that is now present in the base implementation.

Resolved the merge conflict and included it in #254 if you'd like to close this PR
