The flake8-copyright issue is savoirfairelinux/flake8-copyright#19
Looks easy enough to fix that in the plugin (based on PyCQA/flake8#1739). Not sure if they care about maintaining compatibility with optparse though.

Thanks for having a look, @toofar! The upstream repo looks somewhat dead, so for now, I just removed flake8-copyright. For v3.0.0, I'd like to switch to more compact SPDX license identifiers anyways, and at that point, we might as well be able to use the REUSE Helper Tool I suppose.
