SwissBankValidator

Allow to valid a Swiss Iban passed on the rules of http://www.swissiban.com/

You can also validate field to be complient with bank (without special character). Useful if you want to create batch paiement

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'swiss_bank_validator'

And then execute:

$ bundle install

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install swiss_bank_validator

Usage

To validate an IBAN

 class Account < ActiveRecord::Base
   validates_iban_format_of :account_number
 end

 # or

 class Account < ActiveRecord::Base
   validates :account_number, iban: true
 end

To validate a bank field

 class Account < ActiveRecord::Base
   validates_bank_field_of :name
 end

 # or

 class Account < ActiveRecord::Base
   validates :name, bank_field: true
 end

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.

Publishing

To publish a new version, you need to:

  • Bump the version in lib/swiss_bank_validator/version.rb
  • Create a new version on Github
  • Run gem build swiss_bank_validator
  • Run gem push swiss_bank_validator-<version>.gem
