I’m happy to announce that the next iteration of the Podiobooks.com codebase is an open source project, released under a GPL v3 license.. We’re redesigning the system from the ground up, taking lessons learned from the last four years and folding them into a fresh batch of binary goodness for all you folks to enjoy.

Note: The codebase was originally exposed under a Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license. After some recommendations from the community and some research, it was determined that our previous CC license was not the best choice. In the words of the Creative Commons FAQ:

CC licenses are not suitable for software because they do not clearly distinguish between source and binary forms.
