Additions:

  • Adds support for the long waited MediaMonkey player.
  • Adds support for Deezer web player (Issue #3).

Fixes:

  • Fixes issue with Start/Stop button not having a constant style across all web pages. The CSS of a webpage would change the button's style.

If you don't care about the new web apps that were added, don't bother updating -- the new extension will still work with the old desktop app, you just won't be able to use Deezer of MediaMonkey.

Everything is still functionally the same, just renamed to Essential Now Playing. It's not important to update to this version if everything is working fine for you already

The process for using the application has been streamlined even further. Now, all you need to do is run OBS Now Playing.exe and you're done! To use webapps, follow the instructions on the readme page.

IMPORTANT: Keep the files in the same directory!

Pre-release

So, this release is mainly a dev release.

This will be the first release that includes a Chrome Extension. As of now, to use the web-players you will have to install an unpacked Chrome Extension (literally in the Chrome Extension folder), since it is currently not on the Google Webstore. The Chrome Extension does work, but it is up mainly for testing purposes at the moment. When I can verify that it works properly and doesn't screw up too much, I will actually put it up on the store and include a proper installer.

Process to use web-players:

  • Download everything and keep it in one folder
  • Run AddRegistryKey.

To use:

  • Go to chrome://extensions/
  • Check developer mode
  • Load unpacked extension
  • Press the new icon to the right of your address bar
  • Go to a website that works
  • Press start
  • Press start at the bottom again
  • Done!

Alpha (1.0.0) Pre-release
Pre-release

First version hype!

This is an alpha release, so while I did test everything, it may not always work as advertised.

Everything that SHOULD work in this release is:

  • Desktop (Windows [tested], *NIX [untested]):
    • Spotify
    • iTunes
    • winamp
    • VLC
    • MPC-HC
  • WebApps:
    • Spotify web player (play.spotify.com)
    • YouTube
    • Pandora
    • Google Play (play.google.com)

If anything doesn't work, feel free to drop me an issue on github, or send me an email
