These questions that come up a lot. That's an indication of a UX problem but in the short term an FAQ can help people get unstuck. Feel free to suggest further questions or answers!

How come I only see the Japanese reading with no English definition?

This happens when you've inadvertantly hit the 'd' shortcut and turned off definitions. You can re-enable English definitions by pressing 'd' when the popup is visible or by unchecking "Hide definitions..." checkbox in the rikaikun options.

Why isn't rikaikun working?

There are many reasons rikaikun may not work that are unique to your specific situation. What follows are some common remedies that have worked for people in the past. If none of these work, please file an Issue.

• Refresh the page. If rikaikun has reloaded while a page was open, it won't work on that page.
• Toggle rikaikun on and off. Not sure why this works but it has for some people.
• Reinstall rikaikun. This has helped some people, perhaps due to underlying file corruption.
• Ensure that you are not browsing the Chrome Web Store. No extensions are allowed to run there.
• Check your corporate policies. Some companies block extensions which work on all sites.
