Hello TypeScript

Simple hello world project for running TypeScript with Node.js

Running the Project

1. Install Node.js LTS (https://nodejs.org)
2. Open a command window at the root of this project
3. Run npm install

Running the Project

1. Run tsc to build the javascript to the out folder
2. Run node out/helloworld.js

Debugging the Project

1. Open the project in VS Code
2. Open the helloworld.ts file
3. Set a breakpoint on one of the lines of code
4. Press F5
