Lerna was largely unmaintained since version 4, released on Feb 10th, 2021. Its owner, @evocateur, said last December that he was stepping down from the project due to his burnout.
But on May 5th, 2022, @evocateur officially passed the torch to Nrwl, the company behind Nx (a tool I was considering to replace Lerna in this repo). And they already released a new version removing support to old NodeJS versions and addressing dependencies issues.
So, I'm happy to say that Lerna lives on! And this is the upgrade to the latest released version.
