Is there any immediate plans to release stable 5.0 version?
How can I help to make it happen sooner?

I noticed that 4.x branch got ahead of 5.0.0.pre, and it'll be great to have new 5.x release with those changes.

Hmm, I would like 5.0.0 release to have more major changes than it has now.

Ok, it makes sense.

I see 2 potential PRs that could be merged or finished for 5.0: #546 and #513.

I understand that there's still an unfinished discussion about base_uri feature, but the other PR looks good to me (although I don't like the solution to introduce test data into Request#example method).
