We recommend using Linux and heading to Getting started on Linux to get your setup up and running.

Windows

Use WSL! It works almost out of the box with Windows 11. Search the web for how to install this. After this you can follow the usual linux instructions for installation / developement.

OSX

Installing the system on OSX is easiest done with Homebrew and can usually be done without too much effort. You can find what you need to install here.
