Setup instructions

👯 Clone repo and navigate to directory

git clone https://github.com/djpowers/dotfiles
cd ~/dotfiles

🍺 Install Homebrew and run the bundle command to install packages

brew bundle

🐐 Create the package symlinks via GNU Stow

stow --verbose */

🔰 Install Node.js

nvm install --lts

🐟 Set fish as default shell

sudo bash -c 'echo $(which fish) >> /etc/shells'
chsh -s $(which fish)

🎣 Install Fisher plugins

fisher update

🧬 Ensure the Helix Editor language servers are properly configured

hx --health

🚀 Prompt is generated from Starship

starship --version

💎 Install latest Ruby as needed
