Problem

Some of the content in ./contrib is no longer used, e.g.,

  • contrib/generate_release_note/main.go
  • contrib/scripts/upgrade_test_scripts/v8/run-gaia-v7.sh

Closing criteria

The ./contrib is cleaned up.
