Indeed. We have https://github.com/psf/requests/blob/v2.28.0/setup.py#L97 in 2.28.0 and 2.28.1.

@marcelotrevisani, just for awareness, something is amiss with grayskull b/c it is still adding python >=3.6,<4.0 to the recipe.
