Check out the Roadmap project for a bird's eye view of our plans for Concourse. This project board is always up-to-date and reflects the roadmap for each team.

A description of each team can be found under our organization-wide projects.

Substantial updates to our roadmap will also be posted under the Roadmap tag on our blog.

Milestones for release planning

Milestones are used to plan what goes into each release, but they aren't the driving force behind our roadmap. On occasion there will be estimated release dates, but in general we don't do deadline-based or version-number-centric planning, except for breaking changes or substantial features which may result in a major version bump. Instead we deliver features as soon as they're ready, and try to be in a position where we can ship whatever we've finished whenever we want.

Cadet for triaging

The Project website (powered by Cadet) is used for a couple of things:

  • The Issue graph is a bird's eye view of all GitHub issues and how they're related to one another. This is used to identify and visualize related problem spaces. This ultimately feeds into our product planning.
  • The Release page shows what the 'next' release is for each repo and shows which PRs and issues will be in it.
  • The Archive page provides a mailing list archive style view that makes it easy to check in on GitHub community activity across all issues and repositories.
