fileatom - 3D filesystem visualizer

Synopsis

fileatom [options]

Description

fileatom is a 3D filesystem visualizer that displays the files (cubes) and directories (spheres) contained in the current working directory.

Options

-h

Print help message and exit.

-o

Orbit animation turned on.

-t

Filename text turned on.

-r RADIUS

Set the orbit radius to RADIUS.

-s SPEED

Set the animation speed to SPEED.

-p PATH

Use the given directory. The current working directory is used if PATH is not given.

-x TRANSX

Move camera X units along x-axis.

-y TRANSY

Move camera Y units along the y-axis.

-z TRANSZ

Move camera Z units along the z-axis.

Building

Run make to compile fileatom.

Controls

fileatom is controlled using the mouse and keyboard.

Mouse Controls

Left Button

Press and drag the mouse to rotate the file atom.

Keyboard Controls

q

Quit fileatom.

o

Toggle animation.

a

Show all files and directories.

d

Show only directories.

f

Show only files.

t

Toggle text.

c

Toggle cube in the center of the file atom.

s

Toggle sphere that the files and directories orbit around.

j

Select the next file or directory.

k

Select the previous file or directory.

g

Go to the selected directory. Do nothing if the selected object is a file.

r

Toggle between random and tangent rotation axes (orbits).

n

New rotation axes (orbits).

Decrease file atom’s radius.

Increase file atom’s radius.

Decrease animation speed.

Increase animation speed.

-

Decrease size of file and directory objects.

+

Increase size of file and directory objects.

UP

Move closer to the file atom.

DOWN

Move further away from the file atom.

LEFT

Move to the left of the file atom.

RIGHT

Move to the right of the file atom.

PAGE_UP

Move above the file atom.

PAGE_DOWN

Move below the file atom.
