Fix issue #963: Add target component to be decorated to the decorating process so that we can get the InstanceSharing.

I think this is looking good. I'd like to see if we can solve it without breaking the public interface, but otherwise I dig it. If we do have to break the public interface... Unclear on how best to deal with that from a versioning standpoint. Likely few people are actually relying on that particular method, so maybe we could get away with a 0.1.0 increment?
