A micro progressive web application (<30kb) to draw, download and share a randomised harmonograph. A free to use, open source and built with eleventy and alpinejs.
Science museums around the world including Questacon, Exploratorium and the Boston Museum of Science inspired this project. They have pendulums that swing and draw harmonographs for you to take home!
With temporary closures during 2020 I have tried to bring that experience online.
Open source libraries I maintain create the foundations of this project. Check them out:
- Generate a harmonographs X and Y coordinates with @harmonograph/xy.
- Draw and animate a harmonograph in SVG with @harmonograph/svg.
To get harmonograph.art running locally you can run:
npm install
npm run watch
