Esri Leaflet 2.0.0 Announcement

john gravois edited this page May 4, 2016 · 4 revisions

Now that Leaflet 1.0.0-rc.1 has been released we've decided to throw caution to the wind and go full SemVer with our own plugins and release 2.0.0. This means that going forward:

If you need compatibility with Leaflet 0.7.x, you can leverage esri-leaflet 1.x. For compatibility with Leaflet 1.x, you'll use esri-leaflet 2.x

Live 2.0.0 samples and the API Reference can be found at: http://esri.github.io/esri-leaflet/examples/

In the future, we'll continue to patch bugs in our 1.x library when they are reported. New features and additions will be aimed at 2.x.

There are no breaking changes in Esri Leaflet 2.0.0, but we worked around an IE10/11 bug that cropped up in 2.0.0-beta.8 so please consider upgrading at your earliest convenience. Also, feel free to check out our Changelog for more information about what else is new.

Our deepest thanks to the contributors who have helped with the project from all over Earth. Your pull requests, issues and questions on GIS Stack Exchange and Geonet are what makes the project thrive.
