What is this task and why do we need to work on it?

There are lots of issues linked in HotShot to problems that have been resolved already. We should find, check, and remove the comments to make the code easier to follow, and not create panic about problems that have already been solved.

Note to external contributors: This task should be relatively straightforward. Find the linked issue and, if it is closed, delete the comment. If it is open, please provide a link in the PR description.

What work will need to be done to complete this task?

Are there any other details to include?

What are the acceptance criteria to close this issue?

All issues that have been completed are removed from comments in the code. All incomplete issues must be brought to the team's attention, as they have likely fallen through the cracks and need to be prioritized (depending on severity).

Branch work will be merged to (if not the default branch)
