The fut-weather-app was created as a weather web application using using this API: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/feed/v1.0/summary/all_day.geojsonp
The fut-weather-app is a react frontend application.
- List all weather location.
- Ability to search the weather list using the city name or acronym.
- Sort the weather list using the
created time
of the data. - View full weather details of a selected location by clicking on it.
- View about page of the app.
Make sure you have installed all of the following prerequisites on your development machine:

Git - Download & Install Git. MacOS and Linux machines typically have this already installed.

Node.js - Download & Install Node.js and the npm package manager. Make sure to get the latest active LTS version.

Download the fut-weather-app from this link or use
git clone git@github.com:Babanila/fut-weather-app.git

A web browser (
e.g. Google Chrome, Mozila, Firefox e.t.c
). -
A working internet (
To fetch the live data from the API
).
- Open computer terminal (
command-line interface
). - Locate the downloaded fut-weather-app folder.
- Change the directory to the fut-weather-app folder(e.g
cd fut-weather-app
). - Run
npm install
. - Run
npm start
. (The app will start automatically)
To use fut-weather-app, follow the steps below.
- After starting the app.
- If the App doesn't start, enter the localhost address using port 8080 (
e.g http://localhost:8080
) - Type your search parameter into the input search bar in the top right corner on the page.
- Click the search button.
- Click on any of the results to view its details.
- View the about page etc.
- Run
npm test
