By "cost tree" I mean the number of constraints (and possibly other performance-relevant information) of each abstraction and the abstractions that it uses, recursively.

I think that would be cool too. I imagine it should be trivial to do via the namespacing approach the API currently takes. Is there a little javascript visualizer making expandable trees?
