Using Selects

Hello, I'm having trouble using a <select> in a form. A bit of context: I want to let the user input some data in a form, and do some stuff with that data when they submit it. What I've been doing is storing a few variables with use_state that get updated when the user interacts with the form's inputs, and this has been working great, except for a <select>: when using a text input field, I can listen to the input event and call .data() on it, and I get the updated value, but for the select I get a None. I also tried to listen to the change event, and I can access its target property which (at least in js) has a value property with the updated value, but I can't figure out how to access it from rust. Is it currently possible?

Nevermind, i circumvented the problem by just using
web_sys::window()?.document()?.get_element_by_id(id)?.unchecked_into::<web_sys::HtmlInputElement>().value()
to get the <select> value when the form is submitted

Thank for sharing this! This is literally the only documentation available on the web for this and it helped a bunch. I hope the yew team puts together a quick example of doing this to get select values for others who are new to the framework.
