Currently the documentation on using templates is using only the legacy functions and on another issues chat I think I saw that contributor(s) would suggest on moving to the new way of doing templates. I'm finding it a bit difficult at the moment.

TLDR; Documentation on the new way of providing custom templates would be amazing!
