Pictures are not loaded - just frame shown

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Open a chat and look at the pictures.

What is the expected result?
All the pictures/photos are shown/loaded.

What is the actual result?
Certain pictures/photos from at least one contact are not loaded, the picture frame is shown but the actual picture is not seen.

Please provide any additional information below.
The pictures of all other contacts are shown without problem but pictures from at least one friend are not shown on the Wire Desktop but are shown on the Android Wire app. Sometimes the pictures from this contact are shown. I could not find out when and why. The other person has a Samsung Galaxy phone.

this is a problem on windows and android releases in my experience - it is intermittent
i cannot tie it to any single action it seems to be a random problem

I am experiencing the same problem with one friend; He is also using a Samsung Phone: A20e
We have tried the following versions:

• wire-prod-release-3.76.2.apk
• wire-prod-release-3.77.10.apk
• wire-prod-release-3.79.16.apk
• wire-prod-release-3.80.23.apk
• wire-prod-release-3.81.35.apk
• and the latest 3.82 smth..

I have tried to receive his messages with the Desktop Version of Wire and the web app from app.wire.com with Win 7 64 bit and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS; None of them correctly display images he sent for me. With 3.82.... he can't receive my text messages even but I still receive his texts.

We managed to login into the webapp with Vivaldi Browser on his phone, with which he can send images to me and I am able to see them. Other friends can receive his pictures though and if they download them and forward them to me, I can also see them.
