Two applications of this:

Use a rectangular box and plot the median or mean profile along one of the axes, similiar to how I did it in the Orion Bar for the Raman project
plot radial profiles from a given point, optionally restricted to a certain range of position angles. This will be useful for the proplyd flux measurements for the Tom project
