It will be interesting to allow user to add non ip value in DNS global settings.

We can use this in wireguard to specify the local domain to search (eg: .home)

DNS = 10.23.0.1, home

From wg-quick man page:

DNS — a comma-separated list of IP (v4 or v6) addresses to be set as the interface's DNS servers, or non-IP hostnames to be set as the interface's DNS search domains. [...]

+1, I faced the same problem, want to set search domain by default
