Is there an endpoint to get all the color schemes in a JSON format?

I would like to develop a plugin for myself to install color schemes, and your website is the only one I know that displays almost if not every color scheme.

Hello @AlejandroSuero !

There is no endpoint to fetch color schemes at this point, and with the current system, it does not make much sense to have one.

All color schemes are sourced from the Github API, then transformed and stored into a database, and that's where the website gets them directly.

What particular data are you interested in for your plugin? I can definitely help in guiding you with how we get certain info.

The plugin I have in mind is somewhat similar to Mason or Lazy in terms of UI an installation commands, but for color schemes.

Or using telescope.nvim to search for non-installed colorschemes. For installed colorschemes there is :Telescope colorscheme.

Let say I can fetch all the color schemes available and then and create a file in the config for example in lua/user/plugins/colorschemes.lua and write in it the configuration for kanagawa.nvim like:

And then source that file and do :Lazy install colorscheme, :Lazy load colorschem and :colorscheme colorscheme.

In the case of rosepine and catppuccin for example it will need the entry name = "colorscheme" because the repos are like colorscheme/neovim.

Do you need the color schemes only once at the beginning? If so, I can send you a copy of the database, or can guide you through setting up the vimcolorschemes/worker locally to update a local database whenever you need.

If you plan on automating this, I can help with providing the Github API queries I use in this project, or again, the worker might be of use.

Yes, in theory it will only need to be called once at the plugin installation, or just a file containing the color schemes (similar to your seed.json but more concised.

In the part of adding the config is either create a default config file in the user's config or using require("colorscheme-installer.configs.colorschemName") as default if not specified by the user.
