Leaving this for myself in the future when cryptography 2.5 is released as a part of the work in #1496.

Upstream requests tests are failing, I haven't had the time to setup a requests environment lately. If you'd like to do some debugging of that or the best way to setup an OpenSSL 1.1.1 env on Travis it'd be appreciated. See #1496
