With conda you can do: conda env config vars set MYVAR=1, to have the variable set every time you initialise that environment.

It would be nice if conda-tox could use this, to add the variables specified in the setenv tox env config to the conda env.

This would be useful if I want to step into the conda env manually, to check some things out
