With markdown installed in version 3.4 or newer, import mkautodoc fails with

ImportError: cannot import name 'etree' from 'markdown.util'

The markdown.util.etree import has been deprecated since version 3.0 and has been finally removed in version 3.4. It needs to be replaced with xml.etree.ElementTree, cp. the changelog.
