Why is Subscriber 'static.

I'm exploring tracing by attempting to write a subscriber that writes information to a file. Why is Subscriber 'static ? It seems like Subscriber values are registered explicitly with set_global_default or with_default, so why doesn't this account for memory safety without 'static?

A more general rust question: how do I manage an open file with that constraint in my toy subscriber?

I misunderstood what 'static trait bounds imply, so this question is moot. Sorry for the noise.
