Motivation

Sometimes we need to check if two senders belongs to the same channel.

Solution

Just use Arc::ptr_eq to impl PartialEq and Eq.

A channel can only ever have one Sender, so this doesn't make much sense.

For Receiver, yes it doesn't make much sense. For users it will be better to use false directly instead of depends on it's eq or same_channel method.

It feels a bit odd to use equality here. Is there any precedence with other channel libs / APIs to test if two handles send to the same channel?

There is same_channel method in crossbeam_channel::Sender.
For the tokio mpsc code, the derive of PartialEq&Eq just looks more clean.

I don't disagree that it is clean. I'm wondering if it is an obvious meaning for equality. If I saw sender_a == sender_b in code w/o context, I am not sure how I would interpret it.
