Currently this resets metrics, but not the default dashboard view.

@Floppy should the dashboards rake task exactly mirror the metrics endpoint set up.
By which I mean should a new dashboard be tore down and built up every 24 hours?

Yeah, probably. The idea is that any changes to the demo site are thrown away every night.
