Validating package.json againt its schema

I've found that package.json has a JSON schema.

The ajv package has a CLI tool, I've tried to validate a package.json files with it.

I think you have more experience in this field.
Do you think it is possible to validate package.json against its JSON schema?
(this is loosely related to this project)
