Hi!
I've recently started creating a personal project of mine using Tauri, and I'm currently sticking mostly to using TypeScript, with occasional usage of Rust whenever I predict or notice that something needs better performance or security, and I've been wondering if this is generally the optimal choice.
The app is a chatting app which will involve heavy usage of the Pixi.js library for drawing maps, character sheets with computed text fields, taking notes and such, for usage in Virtual TTRPG.
In your projects, what is the proportion of JS/TS code to Rust code you use, and why? Do you make usage of JS/TS only on the frontend, and delegate everything else to Rust, or do you prefer an approach more similar to mine?
