Hi,

I found your repository a little while ago while looking for python cryptography libraries, and I saw just recently that this project is now considered critical on the Python Package Index.

Cryptography libraries are incredibly important and difficult to create and maintain, so I thought it would be good to have a project like this join Jazzband, a "collaborative community to share the responsibility of maintaining Python-based projects". This would both provide help with the work required to maintain this package now, and also ensure the project will continue to be maintained as time goes on.

If you are interested, guidelines for joining can be found here: https://jazzband.co/about/guidelines

Thanks!

We've talked about this on other channels a bit as well, so I just wanted to say here in public that I'd be interested in joining. Thanks for pointing me to Jazzband!

Great, I've always really liked the core idea behind the Jazzband project.

Although it might be a bit embarrasing to admit as the person who originally suggested joining Jazzband, I'm not so sure it's a good idea anymore due to the current leader of the project's lack of activity and the lack of any other "roadies" who could perform the administrative tasks needed to maintain the project (discussed in detail here)

Unfortuantely, this means that user contributions have started to decline, and projects have started to transfer out of Jazzband. Just yesterday django-dbbackup opened this issue discussing the matter and announcing their intent to leave Jazzband.

I don't know of any other groups quite like Jazzband, but if you're still interested in finding more support for the project I'm willing to help out however I can
