We have quite some fixes, and some breaking changes. I would like to release sometime this weekend.

We would need to update dependencies, including cosmiconfig #4386. Also, I would like to include #4394.

Sorry but what about overrides (#3128) property? Have you any plans on this? This one is extra needed feature for community and also for me :)

also need take a look on #4254 , it is breaking change as I can understand, so we need to plan it in major too (12.0.0 or later?), also this change improve require('stylelint') speed

With updating globby will be great implement this #3411, Unfortunately at the moment I don’t have much time for this, but I would be happy for any help

Did not understand your point, you mean we need to wait some fixes in globby itself?

We need to revise how we handle file inputs and globs. And there are existing issues, and new features. globby update will fall into this category, because we don't want new unknown bugs introduced :)

It might be wise to handle all of this in one go. E. g. borrow ESLint's implementation as @evilebottnawi suggested.
